This is a distinct fossil sea urchin. It is a Micraster sp. from the Cretaceous of England. This heart-shaped echinoid has been removed from the matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. All sides of the echinoid are very ''clean'' and beautifully displayed. The sea urchin is extremely inflated and exhibits no crushing whatsoever. The fine detail of the fossil is quite evident. The ambulacra are easily seen, and the plate structure of the echinoderm is clearly defined. This is a wonderful example of this classic sea urchin from England.
This fossil was collected and obtained legally, and is also being sold legally.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
