Size: Ammonite is 4.3 inches across
This is a stunning specimen of a Cleoniceras cleon ammonite from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This handsome, 3-dimensional ammonite has been removed from the surrounding matrix and highly polished on both sides. The intricate suture pattern is beautifully displayed, and the multi-colored shell of the cephalopod is indeed striking. There is also a small spot of natural iridescence in the inner whols of the ammonite. The amazing color of the ammonite, the unusual suture pattern, and the exquisite detail make this an extremely collectible specimen.
