This is a very large and impressive TRIPLE ammonite plate from the Jurassic of Russia. These are wonderful examples of Cosmoceras proniae with hollow chambers. This type of ammonite has many ribs and a sharp keel on the outer shell. The beautiful ammonites have been cut open to reveal the amazing inner chambers. The hollow chambers are lined with bright pyrite crystals - the golden coloration is just spectacular! The fossil cephalopods are perfectly showcased on the sculpted block of concretionary matrix. This is a spectacular display specimen of THREE breathtaking chambered ammonites from Russia.
