This is a beautiful example of Pleuroceras spinatus from the Jurassic of Germany. The ammonite is preserved in a natural concretion, and both halves of the concretion are intact. This particular ammonite has the natural white coloration intact, which is quite unusual. The ammonite contrasts nicely with the grey matrix, and exhibits great detail, showcasing the distinct ribbing and the inner whorls beautifully. And there is another large, white ammonite on the back side of the plate! This is a wonderful display specimen of white Jurassic ammonites from Germany.
