EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - HUGE Split Ammonite
Stock Number  XIAMAX3
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Cleoniceras cleon
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Albian
Location:  Madagascar
Size:  Each ammonite half is 9 inches across!
Price:  $595.00

This is a spectacular fossil. It is a huge Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This ammonite has been split in half and both halves have been highly polished for optimal display. The coiling pattern of the cepahlopod is easily seen, and the individual chambers of the ammonite are beautifully showcased. Most of the chambers are hollow and lined with golden calcite crystals, like miniature geodes - this is an extremely rare occurrence. The large size of the specimen (over NINE inches wide!), combined with its exquisite quality and striking natural color, makes for a gorgeous exhibit. This would be a stunning display fossil for a collection, a decorator piece for one's home or office, or to give as a gift.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
