This is a very displayable chambered ammonite from the Jurassic of Russia. This is a wonderful example of a split-open Cosmoceras proniae. This type of ammonite has many ribs and a sharp keel. The large ammonite has been cut open to reveal the amazing inner chambers. The hollow chambers are lined with bright pyrite crystals - the golden coloration is just spectacular!
