EXTINCTIONS CHOICE - Aconeceras trautscholdi Pair
Stock Number  XIARU141
EXTINCTIONS Choice

Name:   Aconeceras trautscholdi
Age:  Cretaceous
Formation:  Aptian
Location:  Saratov, Russia
Size:  Plate is 4.7 inches across
Price:  $99.00

This is a rare ammonite plate from the Cretaceous of Russia. We recently obtained this exceptional fossil from a MAJOR fossil collection. There are two wonderful examples of Aconeceras trautscholdi on this block. Aconeceras has faint ribbing and a very sharp keel. Both of the Aconeceras have the nacreous shell intact and exhibit a high degree of iridescense. Both of the ammonites are 3-dimensionally preserved and possess fine detail. The cephalopods have excellent color and contrast and are beautifully displayed on the block of concretionary matrix. And best of all, the ammonites are totally natural to the plate - they have not been composited! This is an excellent double plate of natural Aconeceras ammonites from Russia.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
