Here is a fabulous specimen of Conoclypus villanovae from the Eocene of Spain. This large echinoid exhibits very fine detail. The petaloid ambulacra are very well defined, and the test of the echinoid is entirely covered with very fine ornamentation. The classic shape of the sea urchin is wonderfully displayed. This is an excellent example of this large sea urchin from Spain.
