Name:
Discoscaphites conradi Age: Cretaceous Formation: Fox Hills Formation Location: South Dakota Size: Ammonite is 2.2 inches across Price:$69.00
This is a nice association specimen of Discoscaphites conradi and two gastropods from the Cretaceous of South Dakota. The fossil cephalopod is inflated and complete all the way down to the aperture. The faint ribbing pattern and the nodes around the circumference of the ammonite are nicely displayed. The ammonite still has the slightly iridescent mother-of-pearl color preserved. The ammonite is beautifully positioned on the natural matrix block, which also contains two distinct gastropods. This is a very pretty ammonite/gastropod plate from the Cretaceous.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
