This is a very nice pair of Salenia grasi from the Cretaceous of Spain. These round sea urchins have been removed from the matrix so that they can be viewed from all angles. The fossils are quite robust and exhibit extremely fine detail. The entire tests are covered with small pustules, and the thin ambulacra are easily seen. These are two excellent examples of this distinct echinoid from Europe.
