Here is an extremely interesting fossil. This is the upper jaw (skull piece) of an Ice Age Bison from Nebraska. This jaw is very large, obviously from an adult animal. There are still two teeth firmly embedded in the jaw. The enamel of the teeth is in fine condition, and the cusps of the teeth are easily seen. The white teeth contrast nicely with the brown bone. This is a wonderful example of a skull part with teeth from this large Pleistocene mammal.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
