This is a very impressive mineral specimen. It is a large Amethyst Geode from Brazil. Amethys geodes this tall are also called "cathedrals" because they look like a tower that comes to a point. This specimen has very large purple crystals that line the inside of the geode, making for a great display. This is a very aesthetic Amethyst cathedral that has both halves of the geode preserved.
