This is a very attractive specimen of an Ordovician gastropod from Ohio. There is a very nice example of Cyclonema bilix on this plate. This fossil snail is quite 3-dimensional and exhibits very goos detail. The fine ornamentation of the squat, ''wide-bodied'' gastropod is easily seen. The fossil has wonderful color and contrast and is nicely presented on the natural plate of shale that also has a nice Isotelus hypostoma (mouthplate) on the back side (not pictured). This is a very displayable specimen of a Paleozoic gastropod.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
