Here is a very fine multiple specimen of a rare cystoid. These are Glyptocystis robusta from the Ordovician of Morocco. These cystoids are extremely distinct for the type. The echinoderms exhibit incredible detail - the highly ornamented plates are beautifully preserved. The main specimen still has its lengthy stem intact, which is quite unusual. The fossils have excellent color and contrast and are beautifully showcased on the concretionary sandstone block. This is one of the most detailed multiple examples of this primitive cystoid we have seen.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
