Acrothele sp. Age: Middle Cambrian Formation: Wheeler Formation Location: Millard County, Utah Size: Plate is 2.6 inches across Price:$15.00
Here is an extremely unusual fossil brachiopod specimen. This is Acrothele sp. from the Cambrian of Utah. This specimen was found by Steve Hess in 2007. Acrothele was a very early inarticulate brachiopod. This type of brachiopod is also found in the famous Burgess Shale deposits of Canada. This specimen has wonderful form and very good detail (especially under magnification!). The brach is well positioned on the natural plate of matrix. This is a very detailed example of this uncommon fossil from Middle Cambrian.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
