Pennsylvanian Cephalopod from an Unusual Locality
Stock Number  XIOC708

Name:   Goniatites choctawensis (?)
Age:  Pennsylvanian
Location:  Southeastern Oklahoma
Size:  Ammonoid is 0.6 inches across
Price:  $49.00

Here is a very unusual cephalopod fossil. This is Goniatites choctawensis (?) from the Pennsylvanian of Oklahoma. Pennsylvanian cephalopods are highly collectible - there are not many locations in the world where nice Pennsylvanian cephalopods are found. This cephalopod displays well in the surrounding rock. The classic goniatitic sutures of the 3-dimensional cephalopod are nicely exhibited (better than the photo shows), and the natural coloration of the fossil is quite striking. This is a collectible specimen of a rare Pennsylvanian cephalopod from the Sooner State.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
