Name:
Unidentified Texas Ammonite Age: Cretaceous Formation: Woodbine Formation Location: Dallas County, Texas Size: Ammonite is 4.6 inches across Price:$29.00
Here is a fine Cretaceous ammonite. This is an unidentified ammonite from Texas. This specimen was acquired from an old collection and was found probably 50 years ago. This type of ammonite has a sharp keel and is quite thin. This cephalopod exhibits good detail - the ribbing pattern is somewhat muted. This ammonite has been removed from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. Both sides of the ammonite are extremely "clean" - the extreme inner whorls are easily seen on both sides. This is a good example of this uncommon ammonite from Texas acquired from an old collection.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
