This is an extremely detailed echinoderm specimen from the Ordovician of Morocco. This plate contains a beautiful, complete brittlestar fossil. The distinct brittlestar exhibits gorgeous detail - the large central disc is wonderfully displayed, and all five of the extremely LONG, sinuous arms are intact - it is highly unusual to have ALL FIVE of the arms so nicely preserved. The fossil has striking, natural orange coloration that contrasts wonderfully with the light brown matrix. The distinct fossil is very well displayed on the large, natural plate of sandstone. This is a very nice, very detailed brittlestar fossil from North Africa.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
