This is a very impressive Mammoth fossil. It is a distinct tooth from the Woolly Mammoth, Mammuthus primigenius. This distinct specimen was found in the Rhine River, near Worms, Germany. The tooth is large and solid and has a fantastic grinding surface preserved. The rest of the tooth is quite substantial and very displayable. This is an excellent example of a large Mammoth tooth from Germany with grinding surface still intact.
