Here is an excellent multiple block of ammonites from the Jurassic of Russia. There are two wonderful examples of Pavlovia sp. on the block. This type of ammonite has a very rounded keel and extremely strong ribs that split near the shoulder of the shell. The ammonites are very 3-dimensional and exceptionally clean. The inner whorls are beautifully displayed and the ribbing pattern is easily seen. The ammonites are well positioned on the natural block of matrix that contains another partial ammonite and a multitude of bivalves. This is a very displayable Pavlovia specimen from the Jurassic.
