Here is an interesting ammonite from the Jurassic of Russia. This type of ammonite has very faint ribbing with several slight constrictions and a rounded keel. This specimen is complete - even the living chamber is intact. Both sides of the cephalopod are mostly free of matrix and the coiling pattern of the mollusk is quite evident. This is an unusual ammonite from the Jurassic of Russia.
