Here is an extremely decorative fossil. This is a large specimen of a highly polished Geisonoceras from the Devonian of Morocco. The suture pattern is well defined and the individual chambers of the extinct cephalopod are easily seen. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is quite evident. The numerous distinct chambers, the variation of beautiful colors, and the large size make this a very displayable example of an ammonoid from the Devonian of Morocco.
