Here is a superb Mammoth tooth of Mammuthus primigenius from the Pleistocene of Russia. This specimen was found in the same area that was featured in the Discovery Channel special, "Raising the Mammoth". The tooth is totally 3-dimensional and exhibits beautiful yellow-orange coloration. The grinding surface of the tooth is fully preserved and wonderfully displayed. This "solid" tooth has the long roots intact, which are still encased in a section of jaw (rare). This is a very collectible and striking example of a Mammoth tooth still embedded in a section of jawbone.
