This is a very displayable Ice Age fossil. It is a complete paw from the extinct Russian Cave Bear, Ursus uralensis. Cave Bears are the largest member of the bear family and the chief animal hunted by Neanderthal man. Cave Bear material is getting harder to find - most of the caves have been discovered and heavily collected. This is a large right front paw with all the digits and claws intact. The bones have been internally wired together for strength and stability. This is an excellent conversation piece from this extinct Pleistocene Bear.
