Here is an unusual vertebrate fossil. It is a large Rhino tooth from the Miocene of China. The robust tooth has a large portion of the root still intact. The light brown, finely-corrugated enamel is beautifully displayed on one side of the tooth, and a large wear facet is present on the other side of the tooth. This is a fine mature Rhino tooth from the Guanhe Beds of China.
