This is an extremely rare and collectible Woolly Mammoth fossil. It is a fully complete tusk from a BABY Mammoth! This specimen was recovered from the same area that was featured in the Discovery Channel special, "Raising the Mammoth". Tusks from baby Mammoths are rarely ever found because of their small size and the Mammoth's low infant mortality rate. The tiny tusk is complete down to the very tip, and the root end is fully intact and hollow (this is the most complete tusk of any size that we have ever had - 99.9% perfect). The tusk has been expertly polished to show the striking color of the fossil ivory. As an added bonus, this specimen comes with a sample of real Mammoth hair (''Wool'') at no extra charge. This is a very unique Mammoth tusk that would display beautifully on a desk or bookshelf (display stand is included for free).
