This is a wonderful fossil. It is a Keichousaurus hui from the Triassic of China. This dinosaur-like reptile is well articulated and exhibits fine detail. The head, long neck, body, and tail are all beautifully displayed. Many small, pointed teeth can be seen in the skull, and the limbs are wonderfully preserved. Even the tiny digits of the limbs are easily seen. The black bones contrast nicely with the light-colored matrix. The reptile is almost perfectly centered on the somewhat rectangular plate of shale. This is a very ''showy'' example of this Triassic reptile.
