This is a very unique plate of fossil worms from the Cambrian of Utah. There are two examples of Selkirkia sp. on the slab. Worms are quite rare in the fossil record due to the absence of hard parts. These soft-bodied worms are only preserved under very special conditions. These priapulid worms are also found in the famous Burgess Shale fauna. The worms on this specimen are quite large and have gorgeous, totally natural coloration. They are beautifully displayed on the large, multi-colored plate of shale. This is a stunning specimen of these rare fossil worms from the Marjum Formation.
