This is a very displayable ammonite. It is a large Caloceras from England. This specimen has beautiful red-yellow iridescence that is hard to see in the photo. The detail of the ammonite is excellent - the inner whorls make many complete coils! The ammonite is preserved at the top of a natural plate of matrix - great for display! This is a very fine example of this uncommon iridescent ammonite (display stand is included for free).
