This is an excellent cave bear jaw from the Pleistocene of Russia. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain as the cave deposits have been heavily collected. Five excellent teeth are tightly retained in the jawbone. The teeth have excellent enamel and exhibit hardly any wear. The molars display the corrugated grinding surfaces. The large canine tooth is in wonderful condition. This is an excellent specimen of an extinct cave bear jaw from the Ice Age of Russia.
