Here is a beautiful plate of ammonites. These are Psiloceras planorbis from the Jurassic of England. There are three ammonites on the large, natural plate of matrix. The ammonites display gorgeous coloration, as the mother-of-pearl shell is preserved. The fossils are mostly bluish-purple with highlights of green, yellow, and red. The colors are much more intense than the picture shows. The inner coils of the ammonites are easily seen. This is a very displayable plate of ammonites from the Jurassic of England.
