This is a very attractive specimen of Pachyphyllum nevadense magnum from the Devonian of Arizona. This fossil coral has been extracted from the surrounding matrix so that it can be viewed from all angles. This colonial coral is very 3-dimensional and exhibits fine detail. The individual corallites are wonderfully displayed. The reddish color of the fossil makes for a beautiful specimen. This is a very nice example of a fossil colonial coral from the Devonian.
