This is a large, displayable ammonite. It is a Caloceras from England. This specimen has beautiful red-yellow iridescence that is very hard to see in the photo. The detail of the ammonite is excellent - the inner coils make SEVEN complete loops! The ammonite is preserved at the top of a large plate of matrix - great for display! This is a fine example of this uncommon iridescent ammonite (display stand is included for free).
