This is a hard-to-find German ammonite. It is an Amaltheus hawskeranse from Bavaria. This specimen is complete and has good detail. The ammonite is strongly keeled and has nice ribbing. This specimen came from an old collection - we have never seen another example available anywhere. It is a rare ammonite from the Lias Beds of Germany.
