This is a nice vertebrate fossil. It is a partial skull from the Oreodont, Merycoidodon culbertsoni. Oreodonts were herding animals similar to sheep. This specimen has most of the large teeth still embedded in the skull. The quality of these teeth is amazingly fine. The top part of the skull shows the cranium bones are still intact. This is a very good display fossil of articulated oreodont teeth.
