Here is a very aesthetic ammonite. This is Cleoniceras cleon from the Cretaceous of Madagascar. This ammonite has been cut in half and both halves have been highly polished to reveal the beautiful coloration. The coiling pattern of the mollusk is easily seen and the individual, crystalline chambers of the fossil cephalopod are wonderfully displayed. The gorgeous coloration is totally natural. This ammonite comes in its own glass-topped bamboo display case. This is definitely a ''Grade A'' ammonite from Madagascar.
