Here is a very decorative fossil. It is a large Geisonoceras from the Devonian of Morocco. This ammonoid has been highly polished on one side. The suture pattern is beautifully defined and the individual chambers of the extinct cephalopod are easily seen. This specimen even retains a portion of the living chamber of the ammonoid. The beautiful colors and interesting suture pattern make this a very displayable example of a Devonian ammonoid from Morocco.
