Here is an attractive plate of echinoids from the Miocene of France. There are two examples of Scuttella sp. on this block. One specimen shows the dorsal side while the other example exhibits the ventral side. The wide, petaloid ambulacra on the top of the urchin are clearly defined. The white fossils contrast nicely with the yellowish matrix and are beautifully displayed on the large, natural block. This is a very displayable example of ''fossil sand dollars'' from France.
