Here is an outstanding fossil shrimp from the Jurassic of Germany. This is Aeger armatus from the famous Solnhofen Limestone. This shrimp has wonderful detail - just look at the pictures. The long rostrum, the head, the segmented carapace, the legs, and even the tail are beautifully displayed. The fossil has great color and contrast and is well positioned on the large, rectangular plate that is loaded with many pyrolusite dendrites. This is a very displayable fossil arthropod from a world-famous site.
