This is a very interesting multiple ammonite block from the Jurassic of Russia. The ammonites are nestled in their natural block of matrix. There are three large ammonites centered in the block. The middle ammonite is Aconeceras trautscholdi. This ammonite has a very sharp keel and faint ribbing. It displays a high degree of iridescence. The two flanking ammonites are Deshayesites deshayesi. These ammonites have a more rounded keel and stronger ribbing. There is also a very small Aconeceras trautscholdi present in the same block. This is a very "busy" specimen. It is a colorful display specimen of Jurassic ammonites from Russia.
