This is a spectacular ammonite from the Jurassic of England. This huge (over 9 inches across) ammonite has been cut in half and highly polished. The coiling pattern of the ammonite is easily seen, and the individual chambers are beautifully displayed. Many of the chambers are hollow, somewhat like miniature geodes, and filled with sparkling calcite crystals. The large size, the multitude of colors, and the wonderful crystallization make for an exciting display. This is an excellent specimen for the collector or the interior decorator.
