This is an excellent display specimen. It is a skull and other bones of a Merycoidodon gracilis Oreodont, a herding animal similar to a sheep. We acquired this plate in a trade with Black Hills Institute, and it was collected on their land. The skull was prepared to display in its natural matrix base. The skull and lower jaw are nicely articulated and the teeth display well. The other bones are mostly partially articulated limbs. This is a museum quality display piece for an advanced fossil collection or just to put on the mantle (large stand and original ID tag are included).
