This is a wonderful example of a meteorite, an ancient piece of outer space. This specimen fell in the year 1516 in Nantan, China. Nantan iron meteorites represent a rare witnessed and documented meteorite fall. This meteorite contains 92% iron and 7% nickel. This unique specimen exhibits great detail - the convoluted surface of the meteorite is beautifully displayed. This stone is an interesting tidbit of the history of the universe. What a conversation piece!
