Here is a great multiple ammonite specimen from an unusual location. These are Arnioceras sp. from the Jurassic of Chile. Both the part and counterpart of the larger ammonite are present. These well-preserved ammonites are very attractive and exhibit fine detail. The coarse ribs are quite evident, and the tiny inner whorls are clearly defined all the way to the very center. The ammonites have good color and contrast and are well presented on the natural blocks of matrix that also contain a fossil bivalve. There are even many other ammonites on the back sides of the blocks. This is a very aesthetic multiple example of Arnioceras from this unique site.
