This is a rare arthropod fossil. It is a Nahecaris phyllocarid from the Hunsruck Shale (Bundenbach) of Germany. Phyllocarid remains are rare in the fossil record, and complete specimens are even rarer. This specimen is fully complete except for the tip of one tailspine. It has very good detail and is very 3-D for the Bundenbach. Very few fossil collections have a phyllocarid in them, and even fewer have one this nice. It is definitely a rare Devonian arthropod fossil.
