This is a very nice cystoid from the Ordovician of Morocco. This echinoderm is very inflated and exhibits great detail. The ornamented plates of the cystoid are nicely defined. The cystoid has terrific, orange color and wonderful contrast with the light-colored matrix. The fossil is very well centered on the rounded plate of matrix. This is a very nice example of this primitive echinoderm.
