This is a very nice specimen of Homarus hakelensis, a lobster-like crustacean from the Cretaceous of Lebanon. The fossil appears to have very little, if any, enhancement and exhibits excellent detail. The claws are nicely defined. The segmented body (which is enrolled) and legs are displayed. Under magnification, one can even see the segmentation of the antennae. There is also a complete unidentified fossil fish on the plate. The fossils have good color and contrast. They are well centered on the natural matrix plate. This is a very detailed example of this crustacean.
