This is a very fine brittlestar from a "new" Ordovician site in Morocco. Due to the delicate nature of the arms, fossil brittlestars usually have arms missing. This specimen is unusual in that all five sinuous arms are present. The central disk and the arms of the brittlestar exhibit very fine detail. The plate structure of the organism is well defined. The fossil has great, orange, limonitic color. It is almost perfectly centered on a large (approximately 6.0" X 7.5") matrix plate. This is a very displayable fossil brittlestar from the Ordovician.
