We are proud to present this specimen for the bryozoan connoisseur. This piece is from the Mississippian of Missouri. Once in a great while, an Archimedes is found that retains the fronds that emanate from each spiral. And, once in a great while, that specimen can be prepared to display those fronds. This is one of those specimens. The corkscrew-shaped axis is quite evident. The individual fronds are very pronounced and exhibit fine detail. The individual holes in the net-like fronds are easily seen. The fossil has good color and contrast. It is well positioned on the somewhat rounded plate of matrix. This is a museum quality specimen of this unique bryozoan.
