This is a canine tooth from Ursus uralensis, a cave bear. This specimen is from the Cave Deposits of Russia and is Pleistocene in age. Cave bear material is becoming harder to obtain as the old caves have been heavily collected. This large canine tooth exhibits a long, complete root. The fossil tooth has great enamel. The tip of the tooth shows a small amount of natural wear. This is a very nice canine tooth from this extinct Ice Age bear.
